From the onset of this pandemic, the United Center’s team of dedicated professionals have worked tirelessly with relief agencies, first responders, City, County and Federal agencies, and the public on a wide array of initiatives to support the region’s Covid-19 relief efforts. It is our hope that by partnering with FEMA to create a mass vaccination center, we are one step closer to putting this pandemic behind us. About United Center’s Support of Covid-19 Regional Response Efforts
Beginning in April and lasting through the summer, the United Center served as a satellite storage facility for the Greater Chicago Food Depository. The building also hosted PPE drives through the summer and fall in partnership with Team Rubicon, a veteran-led global disaster response organization, and Project C.U.R.E., the world’s largest distributor of donated medical equipment and supplies to resource-limited communities. In October, the United Center partnered with the Christmas in the Wards organization for their “Day of Giving” event where they provided a safe place for communities most affected by Covid-19 to collect donations.
In November, the United Center served as a super polling site on Election Day that allowed nearly 2,000 Chicago residents a place to safely register to vote, cast their ballot in person or hand-deliver a mail-in ballot all while remaining socially distanced.
The United Center’s ongoing support of Covid-19 regional response efforts is spearheaded by its executive leaders Terry Savarise, Joe Myhra, and their respective teams, in close coordination with the City of Chicago and Mayor Lori Lightfoot. The United Center’s partners and vendors, including Uber and its Mobility Solution Team, MoonLab Productions, Prime Ops, and Flux Consulting, have been instrumental in facilitating the arena’s ongoing support, as has the State of Illinois, Cook County Health, the city’s Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC) and the Chicago Medical Society.

James Taylor Rescheduled: James Taylor and His All-Star Band, with special guest Jackson Browne, have announced their US Tour dates have been rescheduled to 2021. James Taylor and His All-Star Band rescheduled date at the United Center is July 29, 2021.
Previously purchased tickets will be honored for all of the rescheduled dates and fans are encouraged to hold onto their tickets. Should you be unable to attend the rescheduled date, please reach out to your point of purchase for information on refunds. The patience of all ticket holders has been appreciated through these uncertain and challenging times.
Bon Jovi Cancellation: Statement from Bon Jovi regarding Bon Jovi 2020 tour: Due to the ongoing global pandemic, it is no longer feasible for Bon Jovi to tour this summer. Given these difficult times, we have made the decision to cancel the tour entirely. This will enable ticketholders to get refunds to help pay their bills or buy groceries. These are trying times. You’ve always been there for us and we’ll always be there for you. We look forward to seeing everyone again on tour when we can all safely be together. Roger Waters Postponement: AEG Presents/Concerts West regret to announce the postponement of the Roger Waters upcoming tour of North America due to the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic. Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias Beyond The Fluffy Rescheduled: The “Beyond The Fluffy” World Tour “Go Big or Go Home” date previously scheduled here on Mar. 14, 2020 has been rescheduled to Oct. 18, 2020. Madhouse Team Store Update: Due to current health precautions, the Madhouse Team Store will remain closed beginning Monday, March 16. We will review the situation daily and expect to re-open when the United Center and Atrium resume regular operating hours.
Sturgill Simpson A Good Look'n Tour Postponement: Due to heightened concerns surrounding COVID-19, Sturgill Simpson’s A Good Look’n Tour with very special guest Tyler Childers on April 3 at United Center has been cancelled. Refunds will be available at point of purchase. Ticketholders will be contacted directly regarding the cancellation in the next few days. Thom Yorke Tomorrow's Modern Boxes Postponement: Due to restrictions put in place to minimize the spread of COVID-19, we regret that the North American leg of the Thom Yorke Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes tour is postponed, including the stop in Chicago on April 4. Rage Against the Machine Postponement: Due to the current outbreak and ban on public gatherings we are postponing the first part of our tour, including our shows in Chicago on May 19 and 20. Tame Impala Rescheduled: The Tame Impala concert, originally scheduled on May 29, 2020, has been rescheduled to October 7, 2021. Special guest will be Perfume Genius. All tickets for the original show date will be honored at the rescheduled date. If you are unable to attend, you can begin the refund process at your point of purchase. STATEMENT ON FACE MASK DONATION
May 6, 2020 - The United Center continues to serve as a very active relief hub for city and state first respondMay 6, 2020ers. It includes, among other efforts, working with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, and hosting the collection and distribution of critical equipment to front line organizations. Every day, there are people in the building representing those organizations as well as our United Center staff helping coordinate these efforts, working under the safest protocols possible.
When we were approached by Dr. Wilson’s organization to distribute masks, we reviewed their plans thoroughly and it was clear that their plans did not meet our critically important safety guidelines.
As a result, we notified the organization that their event could not take place at the United Center. We are proud of the role the United Center continues to serve in the efforts to assist during this pandemic. While we appreciate what Dr. Wilson is doing for our community, we have the utmost responsibility to protect the United Center personnel working on behalf of the same community.

UNITED CENTER AND TEAM RUBICON PARTNER WITH CITY OF CHICAGO TO SUPPORT PPE DONATIONS
The City of Chicago along with Team Rubicon, a veteran-led global disaster response organization, will be teaming up with the United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks, to launch a personal protective equipment (PPE) donation drop-off beginning Monday, April 13, 2020. The PPE donation drop-off will be open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the United Center’s East Atrium located at 16 South Wood Street, Lot H. As a first step, donors should visit chi.gov/donatePPE to review donation guidelines and directions on how to help. The City is requesting the following PPE supplies, which will be collected using proper social distancing protocol.
Sterile and Non-Sterile Gloves (unopened boxes, latex-free preferred)
Hand Sanitizer (unopened containers)
Disinfectant Bottles or Sprays (unopened containers)
Disinfectant Wipes (unopened containers)
Isopropyl Alcohol (unopened bottles)
Eye Protection and Goggles (unused in box or wrapper)
Clear Face Shields (translucent, unused only)
Masks with Tie/Ear Loop (unopened boxes only; homemade cloth masks will be accepted)
3-ply Surgical Masks (FDA approved)
Respirator Masks - N95, N99, P100 (unopened boxes; extra filters are also needed for these devices - including ones use in construction and other industries)
PAPR Respirators - 3M or MaxAir (unused only; hoods, filters, batteries, chargers, tubes to go with these units are also needed)
Disposable Isolation Gowns (unused only)

UPDATE (4/21/2020): In the first week of the donation drive, Team Rubicon collected over 60,000+ gloves, 13,000+ N95 masks, 60,000+ surgical masks and 1,500+ hand sanitizer bottles.
Team Rubicon volunteers will continue to collect PPE items at the drop-off location that are in critical shortage, sort PPE based on priority, and coordinate the distribution to vulnerable populations and essential work staff. STATEMENT ON COVID-19 EMERGENCY RELIEF EFFORTS
As Illinois goes through this together, the United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks, is proud to be playing a critical role with our city, state and federal response to the pandemic. As announced on March 25, our arena and outside campus will be transformed into a logistics hub where we will be assisting with food storage for hunger relief, first responder staging and the collection of critically needed medical supplies.
Moving forward, the Greater Chicago Food Depository, Chicago’s food bank, will be utilizing the United Center as a satellite storage facility in response to the increased need for food. By alleviating space in the food bank’s warehouse, the Food Depository can bring additional volunteers into their facility to build more family food boxes in an environment that adheres to social distancing protocols. These boxes will continue to be distributed to those in need by the Food Depository’s partner network throughout Chicago and Cook County.
Additionally, on Sunday, March 29, Project C.U.R.E. hosted a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Drive in Lot F at the United Center. As medical professionals respond to the COVID-19 public health crisis, PPE supplies are in critical shortage and are essential in protecting healthcare providers as they care for patients in need. Project C.U.R.E. will now distribute all donations collected at the United Center on Sunday to local healthcare providers across the state of Illinois.
