Inspection & Eviction Procedures

For the protection of guests, talent and staff, United Center management, in conjunction with the promoter, will conduct a visual inspection of all guests entering the facility.

Staffing

  • Depending on the nature of the event and related circumstances, we may require the promoter to pay for additional staffing services.

  • Required staff numbers may vary pending the projected attendance and type of inspection.

Visual Inspection

  • When determined by management and promoter that certain items might be brought in to an event, a visual inspection is done as follows:

  1. A visual scan of each guest;

  2. The guest is asked to open coat or handbag to display contents;

  3. If an item is found, guest has option to dispose of items prior to entry or return items to vehicle.

  • All illegal items will be handled by the City of Chicago Police Department.

Full Inspection

  • When determined by management and promoter that the potential is high for inappropriate or illegal items to be brought into the building, a full inspection would include a series of check points:

  1. Visual inspection, followed by a hand search of coats and handbags;

  2. Use of metal detectors to search for items not permitted such as weapons, alcohol and projectiles.

  • If a guest does not wish to be inspected, he or she may return tickets immediately to the box office for a refund.
