Due to ongoing concerns around Coronavirus, The Killers' on-sale date for tickets to their forthcoming US, Mexican, Australian, and Canadian tour dates will be postponed. The band would like everyone to remain safe, cautious, and focused on prevention first and foremost.
MESSAGE FROM THE BAND:
A quick note to say that tickets for our late summer/fall shows will not be going on sale just yet. The news is changing every hour around Coronavirus and, ultimately, we want you, our fans, to stay focused on prevention and remaining safe and cautious right now.
In addition, once we go on sale, we will be providing a portion of our ticketing income to local organizations who help people whose service industry jobs are impacted by the Coronavirus in each of our tour cities. We are taking this personally. Both we and our families have had these jobs and our hearts go out to those affected.
If anything changes again, we'll let you know; in the meantime, we're more excited than ever to sing these news songs with you, and can't wait to see you soon. Watch this space for the updated ticket information!
THE KILLERS have announced their “Imploding the Mirage Tour” including a Chicago concert performance on September 23, 2020 at United Center. Special guest will be Johnny Marr.
THE KILLERS are thrilled to share the details of their forthcoming, highly-anticipated sixth studio album, Imploding The Mirage, which is set for release on May 29, 2020. The album was recorded in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Park City, UT. It is the first Killers album to be written and recorded since leaving their hometown of Las Vegas, NV. Imploding The Mirage also features a brilliant array of collaborators, another first for the band who have typically kept guest spots on their albums to a minimum. The list of featured artists includes Lindsey Buckingham, kd lang, Weyes Blood, Adam Granduciel (War On Drugs), Blake Mills, and Lucius.
The album’s first single, “Caution”,is all ofImploding The Mirage’s excellence densely packed into three and a half minutes. Both refreshingly next level and reminiscent of the band’s much-loved albums Sam’s Town and Battle Born, it finds The Killers evoking the spirit of ambitious reinvention matched with the kind of anthemic chorus to which they’ve become synonymous. The track also features an iconic guitar solo courtesy of the legendary Lindsey Buckingham.
