Building Security Manager

The United Center, a premiere sports and entertainment facility and home of the Chicago Blackhawks and the Chicago Bulls, seeks a well-organized individual to be Security Manager.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to hiring, supervising, training and scheduling security personnel, submitting payroll, assisting with the creation, implementation and monitoring of department policies and procedures, monitoring the maintenance of all CCTV and command center equipment, alarm systems and vehicles, and evaluating and anticipating security needs to ensure maximum facility security at all times.  

The ideal candidate must be available 24 hours a day and should be able to work a varied schedule which include evenings, weekends and holidays.  Candidate should have good communication and interpersonal skills, excellent leadership ability, and excellent analytical skills. A Bachelor’s degree is required and a Criminal Justice studies background is preferred. We offer an excellent salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience.

 

Building Security - 2nd Shift (4 pm-midnight)

The United Center seeks a self-motivated individual to be a Building Security Officer for our 1st Shift  (4 pm-midnight).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensuring a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable environment for all United Center Team Members and guests by monitoring assigned areas.

Specific Duties:  (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Create a safe and secure environment for guest and employees.
  • Monitor CCTV, door alarms, alarm systems
  • Report unsafe and unpresentable circumstances within the work area.
  • Have superior knowledge of facility services and physical layout.
  • Promotional Item Distribution
  • Guest complaint resolution.
  • Incident report documentation.
  • Facility policy enforcement            
  • Customer service skills
  • Inspect and screen employees, contractors, media bags, etc., using hand held and walk through magnetometers

Information Security Specialist

The United Center, a premiere sports and entertainment facility and home of the Chicago Blackhawks and the Chicago Bulls, seeks a well-organized individual to be our Information Security Specialist. 

General Responsibilities:
Assesses information risk and facilitates remediation of identified vulnerabilities with the network, systems and applications. Performs vulnerability assessments as assigned utilizing security tools and methodologies. Identifies opportunities to reduce risk and documents remediation options regarding acceptance or mitigation of risk scenarios. Reports on findings and recommendations for corrective action.

Specific Duties: (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Establish plans and protocols to protect digital files and information systems against unauthorized access, modification and/or destruction
  • Maintain data and monitor security access
  • Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses and security assessments
  • Conduct internal and external security audits
  • Anticipate security alerts, incidents and disasters and reduce their likelihood
  • Manage network, intrusion detection and prevention systems
  • Analyze security breaches to determine their root cause
  • Monitor for and investigate unusual network/account activity
  • Recommend and install appropriate tools and countermeasures
  • Define, implement and maintain corporate security policies
  • Train staff in security awareness and procedures

Marketing Coordinator

Job Responsibilities Include:
 
Content Creation

  • Writing, reviewing, editing, and updating content for company websites, email campaigns, marketing materials, social media and similar platforms
  • Brainstorming and developing effective content plans for communications and marketing efforts driven by previous success metrics
  • Presenting content concepts and working with team on final deliverables for internal and external needs

Analytics

  • Tracking and interpreting analytics and success metrics on communications and marketing touchpoints to drive strategy
  • Monitoring and analyzing event survey data to inform strategic initiatives

Social Media Marketing

  • Assisting with captions and research for daily content that maintains social media accounts including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube

Job Requirements Include:

Premium Sales Account Executive

Premium Sales Account Executives are responsible for selling an array of United Center premium ticket-related products, that include the Chicago Bulls, Chicago Blackhawks and Concerts/Special Events. Heavy emphasis will be placed on new business development through both virtual and face-to-face meetings at the United Center and out of office. Ideal candidate must be detail oriented and organized with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of clientele, be well-versed in prospecting, appointment setting and executing sales presentations.  Candidate should also have the ability to function in a fast-paced environment; possess a positive attitude, self-confidence, enthusiasm, professionalism, and a very strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for, but not limited to, the sale of season suite licenses and club spaces for Bulls, Blackhawks and Concerts/Special Events.
  • Meet and exceed established weekly, monthly and annual sales goals.
  • Build new relationships through self-prospecting, cold calling and effective campaign management.
  • Generate virtual, out of office and United Center “face-to-face” meetings to create new opportunities with top area businesses and B2C sales campaign leads.
  • Entertain and nurture relationships with prospects through creative means, including but not limited to: one-on-one meals, prospect sampling at games, seat visits at games and outside meetings.
  • The candidate will be accountable for weekly and monthly KPI’s (calls, touchpoints and appointments).

Premium Sales Manager

The Premium Sales Manager will have a wide range of responsibilities to help the United Center Premium Department function at its highest level. The Premium Sales Manager will be responsible primarily for the growth of our season suite licenses and premium club sales through direct selling plus leadership of our sales team. Premium inventory incorporates Chicago Bulls, Chicago Blackhawks and United Center Concerts/Special Events. Heavy emphasis will be placed on the implementation and execution of effective sales processes, and the professional development of the Premium Sales team. 
 
Ideal candidate must possess 4-6 years of sales experience, strong business sales acumen and leadership abilities to ensure that departmental and organizational goals are met.. Candidate should also have the ability to function in a fast-paced environment; have a passion to coach and develop sales professionals, possess a positive attitude, self-confidence, enthusiasm, professionalism, and a very strong work ethic.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and providing leadership for Premium Sales Executives.
  • The management and performance of the Premium Sales team, who are responsible for driving sales of selling our full menu of all premium products. 
  • Supporting Premium Sales staff by evaluating sales calls and attending out of office, virtual and arena appointments.
  • Executing one-on-ones with sales executives to reinforce sales processes and provide continual feedback.
  • Achieving personal annual sales revenue goals.
  • Generating out of office, virtual and United Center appointments to establish new opportunities with top area businesses.

Merchandising Operations - SEASONAL

Job Description
The United Center is the premier sports and entertainment facility in Chicago and home of the Blackhawks and Bulls. We are looking for someone to successfully support United Center Joint Venture (UCJV) Merchandising/Retail Operations Team in retail photography, signage suite, trend analysis, competitive shopping, digital look book maintenance, social media marketing strategy, procurement input, and other assigned seasonal responsibilities representing the Chicago Bulls at the United Center Arena, the Madhouse Team Store, and offsite team retail activations.    

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Assist Manager, Retail Operations & Marketing in day-to-day social and vendor asset management
  • Complete monthly competitive shopping analysis reports
  • Support procurement team in product development & assortment planning
  • Analyze & present new vendor partnership opportunities to Director of Retail and team retail counterparts

Job Details and Requirements

  • 30-35 hours/week.  
  • Swing shift: 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. game days, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. non-game days, some nights and weekends depending on event schedule.  
  • $25/hour
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
