CITY OF CHICAGO VACCINE REQUIREMENT: UPDATE TO UNITED CENTER POLICIES

cvr-update

Yesterday, the City of Chicago announced its “Chicago Vaccine Requirements” for indoor public spaces, which includes the United Center as a sports and entertainment arena. Effective January 3, this health order will require any individual 5 years of age and older to show proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 when entering the United Center for all events including Bulls games (starting January 3 vs. Orlando), Blackhawks games (starting January 4 vs. Colorado), and United Center special events.

Specifically:

  • Fans age 5 and older must show proof of full vaccination.
  • Fans age 16 and over will also need to provide identification that matches their vaccination record.
  • The City of Chicago mask mandate also remains in effect for all public indoor settings.

The City of Chicago’s announcement states that proof of vaccination means a CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card or an official immunization record from the jurisdiction, state, or country where the vaccine was administered or a digital or physical photo of such a card or record, reflecting the person’s name, vaccine brand, and date administered.
