TICKETS FOR 2015 ILLINOIS HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS ON SALE NOW
In conjunction with the Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois (AHAI), the Chicago Blackhawks will host the 2015 Illinois State High School Hockey Championships, presented by Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Chevy Dealers, at the United Center on Sunday, March 22. Tickets for the event, which features three contests, are on sale now.
For the fifth consecutive year, the Boys State Championship tilt will be broadcast live in high-definition on Comcast SportsNet Chicago at 12 p.m. with Judd Sirott and Steve Konroyd on the call. March 22 at the United Center will feature a full day of action with the Illinois Girls’ State Championship (9:00 a.m.), the Boys’ Red Division State Championship (12:00 p.m.) and the Boys’ Combined Division State Championship (3:00 p.m.).
Members of local youth hockey organizations who purchase tickets online through a special offer will also have the opportunity to partake in a group photo on the United Center ice following the Red Division Championship game (see attached photo). The organization with the highest attendance at the Red Division Championship game will receive a full gameday scrimmage experience at the United Center during the 2015-16 regular season. Organizations with the second- and third-highest attendance will be invited to the United Center for a private locker room tour on a non-gameday, while the organizations with the fourth- and fifth-highest attendance will be invited to the United Center to watch a Blackhawks practice.
This marks the 28th year that AHAI will host their State Championship at the United Center/Chicago Stadium. The 2014 title was won by New Trier High School in the Red Division, Waubonsie Valley in the Combined Division and New Trier in the Girls’ Division.
